So, today I decided that I wanted to keep an online exercise journal and share my thoughts and workouts with other traveling sales folks. I mainly travel GA, SC and NC so for those of you who travel in the Southeast I hope I can help you find some good routes. For those of you from other parts of the country I hope I can help motivate you to get out and exercise.
I woke up a little early this morning so that I could get a run in before having my mid-year review with my boss at 7:00. So after a late night of preparing my strategic plan and market segmentaion files I set my alarm for 5:30. Well, I just was not in the mood for a run as I did get in a short 3 miler last night before bed. I decided I would knock out some e-mails and do sets of push-ups instead. I completed 5 sets of 20 before I had to get to the lobby for my meeting. I love starting my day with a cup of Hampton coffee and some light exercise. I had a nice meeting with my boss while I ate a bowl of cheerios with strawberry yogurt and a banana. We started our day of sales calls around 8:45am.
After several calls and dropping my boss off at the airport I headed toward home and spent hours on the phone behind the wheel of the car (I do love the Sync hands free option in the Ford F-150). I met a contractor for lunch and ate a grilled chicken sandwich with an extra chicken filet from Chick-Fil-A and a mucle punch smoothie from Smoothie King in Atlanta. I keep my road bike in the back seat of my truck on most of my trips just incase the weather and time permits a ride. Today was one of those days. I had a little extra time on my way back to South Carolina so I stopped off in Greensboro, GA and parked at a Home Depot parking lot just off of I-20 interstate. Awesome ride. Hot, but beautiful and best of all I came up with the idea to start this blog.
For those of you who drive I-20 between Atlanta, GA and South Carolina I strongly recommend this route.
